 Paul Harris, Associate Producer of Stronghold 2 at Firefly Studios, has kindly answered some questions asked by our site members in our forums. As well as some unique screen grabs, we'll also find out a little more about the history of the company and the Stronghold series of games, why the switch from 2D to 3D was made (along with our first hint as to what computer specifications and graphics card will be required), information on the campaigns and historic castles, details of the royal foods and other resources, Lord ranks and military troop formations... Update! Lord Michael's Walkthroughs for

The title says it all. The members of Stronghold-Knights have been working on a Stronghold 2, Lord of the Rings themed map pack, with game modifications, for months now, and we have released a set of nine maps and other modifications to mark our progress as well as whet the appetite of anyone interested. Two complaints concerning Stronghold 2 multiplayer matches were the facts that we could not play on custom maps and players can not duel against AI opponents. With FireFly Studios' guidance, we can now at least play each other on well crafted custom maps.

Playing speech for a contact who has just come online in MSN Messenger can come in very handy if you leave your computer and speakers on and wish to be notified of their online status with a voice message from Stronghold or Crusader. If you’re playing a game or using an application and cannot see the Messenger pop-up when someone logs on, you can have a voice play 'Greeting lord/lady'.
