We've all placed plants on land terrain, but are you aware that you can place plants on some buildings and even castle defences?

Barracks (and other buildings with attached land)

It's a little known fact that the "lowered walls" trick can be used o要 the training grounds in barracks. In order to do this you have to build your barracks o要 slightly raised terrain (usually just 1 "raise land click" higher than the surrounding terrain).

You can o要ly lower the land in certain places - such as around the edge of the training grounds and also between the training targets (eg. archery target, sword fighting target, etc).

After lowering the land, these parts of the training ground suddenly allow plants, rocks, and even walls to be placed!

Here are two images that show plants being placed o要 to the training grounds (and this may also work for oil smelters, tunnelers' guild and engineers' guild):

As you can see, this certainly makes a change from the usual barracks! It's an ideal trick to use if you want to create an abandoned castle that has been slowly overgrown with the surrounding wildlife, etc. Your woodcutters are even able to cut down the trees in the game!

Wooden Spikes / Killing Pits

Another place that you don't normally expect to see plants is o要 wooden spikes, as shown in the following images:

This trick is ideal for diguising the location of enemy traps in your maps, or for creating picturesque flower beds in your own castle, especially if you have something like a town plaza.
