April 1210 - With the ending of the rule of Koen Francois, Listibaldia began rebuilding itself to the great country it had once been. Yet barely giving the Listibaldians time to breath, from over the seas a new threat emerged.
With a new tongue and armory, they began slowly taking Listibaldia. Every day more land was lost to them, one by one strongholds and cities were lost to them as the Listibaldians slowly lost more and more faith. In the end only a small island to the south-west of Listibaldia remained, and from there the counter attack would have to take place.

It was a dark night when Sir Joseph IV found himself charged with the duty Grand Marshall of the remaining Listibaldian soldiers. Listibaldia was taking a true beating from the storm, the winds and rains felling trees and isolating small communities. A small fort of wood was the only refuge left of the Listibaldians.
Joseph authorized the building of several watchtowers in the forest, so that any enemy approaching the keep from the bridge could be spotted and defenses prepared. Meanwhile, in the dungeons built under the capital, four men were chained; Lord Adman, Lord Paul the Dubious, Sir Rebalar and Earl Listibald. They were the last defense, laying down all they had for their country, but ultimately had been taken prisoner.
An attack on the island drew the Listibaldian defense into action sooner than expected, barbarian attackers destroyed the bridge that attached the island to the mainland, trapping the Listibaldians on the island with a months worth of food. A second attack of 500 barbarians came to the island via boat. Again they were beaten back, and the Listibaldians took the boats; the counter-attack was beginning.
In the capital, the prisoners broke out of their cell, and fought among the corridors, beating back wave after wave of guards. With help from servant Alice, they escape into the castle, and Adman and Paul scale the walls, meeting up with General Matthew, a lord that had managed to avoid the invaders thus far. After several days camped, the islanders returned to the mainland. Here they found exile Frankoman, and Sir Avo, who battled from tip to toe of the country trying to find his kinsmen.
Yet more bandits attacked when Joseph, Terrence and Godfrey were hunting for more exilesIn another wing of the dungeon, Lord Magnus was to be found, chained in solitary confinementAs the four men of the capital left the gates, they met the friends they had been looking for in the form of Joseph and his motley crew. They returned to the camp and there laid plans. A small group of them would infiltrate the city, sowing the seeds of discord among the Ubervanian invaders. Sir Godfrey entered through Listibaldia’s extensive sewer network, Squire Terrence as a peasant and Joseph, Paul, Ed, Matthew and Frankoman in the garb on Ubervanians.
The first casualty was Terrence, his hand removed and his body tortured, but the valiant man did not give any information of his friends. Joseph held a slight bit more luck, a patrol actually helping him into the castle and feasting grandly with them in the DBI. Hope came to Terrence in the form of Sir Godfrey, who rescued him from the clutches of his captors and gave him refuge alongside the Earl. The plans of sabotage began, jamming the portcullis and the drawbridge, giving the Listibaldian army an assuredly easy way into the castle. on his way to alert the main force, Joseph managed to take many of the arrows used by the Ubervanians.
Barrels of oil were smuggled from the supply tents, and the flammable liquid spread throughout the city.Earl Listibald and Squire Terrence were taken out of the castle for their protection, and to a woodcutter still loyal to Listibaldia, and Lord Magnus was released from his confinement with help from his friend OskanSir Godfrey, in a flurry of pure bravery attempted an assassination on Duke Lucius, putting his blade through the foreign armour, yet the wound was not fatal, and Godfrey was surrounded, a violent battle ensuring.
Sir Joseph made it back to the garrison, and managed to arrive in due time to warn them of the impeding attack of Ubervanians. With the attack failed, the lit oil caused chaos among Listibaldia as the Listibaldian loyalists marched upon there fair capital.Huge breaches were created in the walls by Listibaldian siege equipment as the bulk of the army marched upon the keep. The great ram destroyed the gate, allowing the Listibaldians entry into the entrance hall.
All Ubervanians in the castle were killed or captured and the remainders were chased down the tunnels which they retreated in to. Medals Awarded for this Quest
