In keeping with our long tradition of finding new types of walls, TTemplar has discovered a way to make giant walls in Stronghold 2! While such walls were quite easy to make in previous versions of the game, this time you need to use an altogether more ellaborate procedure...

First, you need to create some raised terrain - go to the terrain heights palette and choose from one of the available terrain heights (except the min height one) and paint some land. The height of this terrain defines the eventual height of your giant wall:

Next, go to the water palette and paint some ocean terrain in front of your raised land (weird, eh?):

Now, go in to the castle structure palette place the first part of your wall on top of the raised land (we reccommend single walls but you can also use double and triple walls if desired):

Once the walls are placed, extend the land over the ocean. To do this, go in to the terrain heights tab and click the land/sea priority button so that land can be painted over water (as shown in the bottom corner of the following picture) and then select the height tool that you used when first drawing the land (example shown in picture below):
With the new land that's created, go back in to the castle structure palette and place some more walls as shown below:

Next, go to the water palette and select ocean and then turn on the eraser tool (by clicking the button) and erase all the tiles where your original ocean was (icnluding those where you extended the land):
As you do this you'll notice that the raised land (that was over the ocean) suddenly drops to ground level and the walls extend all the way down to the ground...
And there we have it - a giant wall in Stronghold 2:
As you might imagine, with such an ellaborate trick there are bound to be some side-effects... If you place a tower or certain other buildings near or in the giant wall, some of the wall tiles that were painted over the ocean terrain drop back down to normal height:
Well, we hope you can make use of this first new wall type for Stronghold 2! Have fun!
