Wooden stilts are extremely versatile when it comes to creating eye candy o­n your map.  Not o­nly to they look good and have lots of applications, they are also fully functional walkways for your units...

To create wooden stilts, use this process:
  • Place some wooden wall then place a wooden platform next to the wall
  • Use "something heavy", such as a sizable boulder or better still a large stone tower, to squash the wooden steps into the ground and usually erradicate them.
  • Remove the flattened wooden steps with the delete or eraser tool

That's it!  Here's another image that shows what happens when you use stone towers to destroy the steps:

By removing varying amounts of the steps and/or joining lots of the wooden stilts together you can create all kinds of different eye candy features - here's some examples:
